Our Linux Barcode Scanner SDK is a headless tool designed for fast and reliable barcode scanning in server environments and for embedded systems. It focuses on processing image data and returning barcode data as a list. The SDK is suited for a variety of deployment scenarios, including private clouds and physical hardware such as drones, robots, and edge devices.

The core API is pure C, which enables easy integration into other programming environments through simple wrappers. For a quick start, the SDK already includes a C++ and a Python wrapper.

The SDK runs on cheap, low-power platforms such as Raspberry Pi. On platforms with TensorRT support, such as the NVIDIA Jetson, the SDK greatly benefits from GPU acceleration. Here are some typical performance results with a 1280×720 camera stream:
