To handle around 1 million receipt submissions annually, acardo group AG needed an accurate, easy-to-use document capture solution that they could quickly integrate into the COUPIES iOS and Android app.

3. The picture was then transmitted to the backend, where staff verified it manually. Since most pictures were low-quality, automated text recognition – which requires high-resolution images – was not an option.
4. After successful verification, the user received the cashback amount in their account.

The cost of manual verification grew in direct proportion to the number of receipts uploaded. To handle the increasing amount of paperwork and users, COUPIES sought a volume-independent solution for capturing precise scans of the receipts.
